The Swiss Alps are so so beautiful and the village itself was ridiculously cliché - the church clock chimed every 15 minutes, the cows wore bells, the houses looked like cuckoo clocks (a cuckoo followed us on one of our walks), we ate Weiner schnitzel and drank the local spring water. The silhouette of the mountains got me all excited and I attempted a few crappy drawings, but it did make me think of the embroidery from my last post - the zigzagging of the pine trees as they climb the mountains, and the formation of the rocks in jagged lines.
